Tutor.com and GreatSchools.net Partner to Create GreatSchools.net Tutoring Network

Students to receive one-to-one real-time academic assistance through the tutoring network anytime, anywhere

New York, NY- Tutor.com (www.tutor.com), the leading provider of online tutoring services, announced today a partnership with GreatSchools.net (www.greatschools.net), the free online guide to K-12 schools. The partnership gives GreatSchools.net visitors access to Tutor.com's comprehensive database of tutors who are available 24/7 in multiple areas of study.

The GreatSchools.net Tutoring Network, powered by Tutor.com, offers users the ability to select a qualified tutor from a list of selected educators based on cost, certification and background. Within this co-branded environment, students can either engage in an online tutoring session in Tutor.com's virtual classroom or select a tutor for a face-to-face session. Educators, students and professionals wishing to join the online teaching community can sign up as a tutor. Tutors create their own personalized profile, listing their field(s) of expertise, teaching background and hourly rate.

In the Tutor.com classroom, tutors and students can interact in real time, typing, drawing, and literally speaking to each other over the Internet. They can also share documents, print out their session and complete an exit survey to rate their experience. Most importantly, the classroom enables a personalized learning experience anytime, anywhere.

"Parents visiting GreatSchools.net to find the best schools for their child's needs can now find the best tutor too," said George Cigale, CEO of Tutor.com. "Our unique learning environment with one-to-one instruction is the perfect supplement to a quality education." Bill Jackson, CEO of GreatSchools.net added, "The Tutoring Network is a wonderful complement to information we give parents about how to support their child's education."

Tutor.com works with many education companies including Encarta, BigChalk and WebCT to provide turnkey tutoring solutions. Each tutoring network is customized to the partner's needs. Tutor.com works with each partner to create a select tutor database by setting the criteria for acceptable tutors. Tutor.com provides support through daily contact with tutors, guaranteeing a high quality, well-qualified instructor.
