We rely on state Departments of Education and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) for our public and charter school directory and are unable to add public or charter schools individually to our Web site.
If a public or charter school is missing from our site, it is usually because these data sources failed to provide the information. Please note: Sometimes the most recent available data is from the previous school year.
If you know of a public or charter school that is not listed, we recommend that you contact the appropriate state Department of Education and NCES and ask both entities to list the school. Then, the next time we update the school directory in your state, the new school will be added to our site.

If a private school is missing from our site, it is usually because the source of our data failed to provide the information--either the state Department of Education or the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). If you know of a private school that is not listed, please submit the school's information to us.
Once a private school is listed on our site, the school's principal can provide additional information about the school, free of charge, using our Enhanced School Profile (ESP) feature. Please note: Only a school official, or someone with permission from a school official, may sign up for an ESP.
