Uniforms required: Our students wear a long or short sleeve polo with the school logo embroidered on the left lapel. Shirts may be Navy, Light Blue or White in color. Any pants, shorts, skirts of khaki or navy are acceptable. Shoes should be black, brown or white and must cover the toes. No characters or flashing please. |

School Mission
- To provide an exceptional learning experience for every child that attends the Academy for the Brilliant Child. Every child is recognized as "brilliant" with unlimited learning potential. An individual curriculum is developed for each child in a safe and positive atmosphere that fosters joy and productivity.

Instructional Program Highlights
- The Montessori program is self-directed, non-competitive, and helps children develop self confidence so they can face challenges and change with optimism and security.
- The highest moral standards are taught and encouraged through precept and examples. Honesty, love, respect and fairness for fellow men are woven into the core of the program.
- The multi-cultural and diverse nature of our community fosters love and respect for all peoples of the world.
- Multi level classrooms all ow for peer mentoring and encourages strong inter-personal bonds among students and their teachers.
| Activities and Sports |
- Clubs and extra-curricular activities include: Tumble n Dance Academy offers on site after school instruction in Tumbling, Ballet, and Tap on Mondays. Costs range from $35-$55 per month + clothing/shoes depending on participation/interests. All ages; Family Martial Arts, Kuk Sool offers on site after school instruction in martial arts. Cost is $80 per month + uniform. Testing fees are additional. Ages 4yrs+. Classes are held twice a week; Suzuki Violin lessons with Mrs. Mary Frances-Daniel are offered after school on Thursday afternoons. Cost is $80 per month + Violin (or rental). Ages 2 yrs + and Individual Piano lessons with Ms. Diane Scarbrough are offered on Thursdays weekly. Cost is $15 per lesson + books. Ages 7+.

Parent and Community Support
- Our parents are significantly involved and are encouraged to participate and support their children in any and as many ways as they possibly can. Some provide classroom materials support or guest lectures, others provide office and administration support and even more work on fundraisers, playground development and special events.
Other news or notes
- The most important thing about ABC Montessori is that we are a community of families with the best interest of the children at it's heart. For the kids it is like being a part of a very large extended family. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you with open arms.

- Recent or upcoming renovations: In August 2007 we opened our new state of the art classroom building. It houses 4 classrooms. It is a safe, secure and beautiful environment for our children to learn and grow in.
- Gymnasium and physical education facilities: There is no gymnasium at this time. We have a lovely and large fenced playground area with space for running and informal sports activities. In addition, our students enjoy long walks on our nature trail for both exercise, fresh air and exploration.
- Library facilities: Independent classroom libraries with age appropriate materials are available in each classroom. For research, we take the children to the Henry County Library.
